Tooling and Methodologies

Much of the tooling we bring to project has been learned live on projects over the years.

Latterly we have moved away from enterprise solutions like Microsoft Project to web based applications like Asana. We are ready to attend daily stand ups and steering scrum masters/general agile solutions.

Accepting that you have your own solutions, we regularly spend time before getting engaged in getting up to speed to allow a hit the decks running approach.

Since Covid Microsoft Teams provides a solid project comms tool, it’s obvious Microsoft Office Apps makes it a logical choice. We are big users of OneNote, Teams meetings and this approach means that if we need a few Project licences, everything works nicely.

Our last project was run using Asana, which brings intuitive team tools similar to Trello, but with the advantage of creating clear specific teams per project, which keep individual contributors across tasks as well as Exec teams across milestones and project status.

We have run projects using Prince 2.
